PRICE INCREASE

I am sorry to have to increase many of my prices quite so dramatically at this time. This is due to an accumulation of  increases from the factories which I have not passed on to the customer before now; some prices have not changed for over 4 years, however, the factories generally have increased their prices by 3-4% every year meaning that I have been absorbing this up till now. There should have been a gradual increase over time but with trying to keep on top of very heavy workloads single handedly, working out price increases for so many instruments has taken last place. Added to this, as I am sure you are aware, the pound has become very weak against the euro  and the dollar in the last six months, making a difference of around 15-25% on the cost to me of each accordion.  With such large stocks kept in the shop at all times I often have not implemented the new price increases and have been happy to sell  the instruments at the cheaper older prices.  Although some makes are showing large price rises, they are still nowhere near  as high as the official factory retail price recommendations.  Despite this, I always aim to keep my prices as low as possible even though part exchanges can make this very difficult at times, whilst all the while offering the best impartial and objective advice, and after sales and repair service you will find in any shop in the country.
